Welcome to Dhiffushi Diving & Recreation is an officially accredited five-star dive resort according to NDL (National Dive League) standards, located on one of the most authentic and picturesque islands of the Maldivian archipelago — Diffushi. Our mission is to make diving an accessible, safe, inspiring, and even transformational experience. Why Diffushi?
Diffushi Island is located in Kaafu Atoll, in close proximity to the famous Maafushu Kandu dive site, one of the richest sea channels in the Maldives. Due to its unique geographical location, warm surface currents and deep waters meet here, which creates ideal conditions for manti, whale sharks, rays, giant barracudas and thousands of species of corals and tropical fish.
But Diffushi is not just about the underwater world. This is an island with authentic Maldivian culture, where the locals are friendly and the pace of life is set by the rhythm of the tides and sunsets. You can stroll through the narrow streets, taste traditional dishes prepared according to family recipes, and feel like part of a real Maldivian community.
Diving training: from the first breath to a career as an instructor
At Dhiffushi Diving & Recreation we offer a full-fledged diving training program certified according to international NDL standards. Our courses cover everything from basic diving to professional training for dive masters and instructors.
✓ Diver is the perfect start for beginners. The course lasts from 3 to 5 days and includes theoretical classes, exercises in the pool and 4 outdoor dives in the ocean.
✓ Advanced Universal Diver is an advanced course for those who want to learn how to dive deeper, navigate underwater and explore night or sunken objects.
✓ Rescue Diver — training in emergency situations, developing skills to help other divers.
✓ Divemaster is the first professional level. You will learn how to lead groups, plan dives, and help instructors.
✓ Instructor Development Course (IDC) is a way to teach others yourself.
It is especially important that all our graduates get the opportunity to complete internships and get a job at our dive club in the Maldives. We don't just teach, we launch a career in one of the most beautiful and sought—after industries in the world.
Who are our instructors?
All our instructors are certified specialists with many years of diving experience around the world. They not only know technology and safety, but also know how to convey their passion for the ocean. Thanks to the individual approach, even the most anxious beginner quickly feels confident underwater. Safety, clear instructions and a friendly atmosphere are our principles.
Water activities: Diving is not the only way to enjoy the ocean
Realizing that not every tourist comes with the goal of becoming a diver, we offer a wide range of water activities suitable for the whole family, couples or friends:
✓ Snorkeling — snorkeling among coral reefs right off the coast. This is an ideal way to explore the underwater world without special training.
✓ Sapsurfing (SUP) is a standing board for calm riding on the lagoon. A great way to relax and enjoy the panorama of the island.
✓ Kayaking — explore the coves and quiet corners of the coast at your own pace.
✓ Jet skis are for lovers of speed and adrenaline. Ride the waves along the coastline or go on short sea expeditions.
✓ Dolphin Cruises — morning or evening boat trips during which you can watch wild dolphins playing in their natural environment.
✓ Excursions to sandbanks — unique "ghost islands" that appear and disappear with the tides. The perfect place for a photo shoot, picnic or sunset meditation.
✓ Environmental responsibility: we take care of the ocean
At Dhiffushi Diving & Recreation we don't just use the ocean as a resource — we conserve it. Our guides teach guests the rules of eco-friendly diving: do not touch corals, do not feed fish, do not leave garbage. We regularly participate in reef cleanup campaigns and conduct educational events for the local community. Because it is our common task to preserve this beauty.

The range of services includes an extensive diving training program for both beginners and professionals. Instructors and dive masters who have completed their studies with us get the opportunity to get jobs in the Maldives at our dive club, complete an internship and gain experience on the spot.
Our guests will also have the opportunity to learn surfing and kite surfing.
